About Me
I am a PhD Candidate in Computer Vision at the University of Twente (Netherlands), working in the Data Management & Biometrics (DMB) group under the supervision of Dr. Estefanía Talavera. My research focuses on building deep learning and computer vision systems for automated defect detection in industrial assembly processes — making manufacturing smarter, faster, and more reliable.
Alongside my PhD, I work as an Industrial Transformation Engineer (Global) at Gunnebo Safe Storage, driving Industry 4.0 and AI-based inspection initiatives across global manufacturing sites.
My background spans Mechatronics Engineering (BSc, Universidad Autónoma del Caribe, Colombia) and Mechatronics & Micromechatronic Systems (MSc, Universidad de Oviedo / Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences — Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Scholarship).
